Leap of Faith is a challenge which has appeared in every series of the original run of Raven.

Description[]

The warriors must climb to the top of a tree, the first half using a ladder and the second using handholds and footholds (from Series 8 onwards, just the tree itself is climbed while Series 4 had a pole to climb in place of the tree). They must then jump off the tree and grab the rings. If they fall off the tree, or if Raven has to bring the warriors who get frightened down with his magic, they will lose a life. In the first series this challenge takes place in the Old Forest. In some series it was required to grab a ring to prevent a loss of life but in other series it was only necessary to do the jump.

Ring Count[]

Series 1[]

There is one ring hanging from a single rope except in the final week where there are two rings hanging from separate ropes. It is mandatory to grab the ring(s) in this series, or a life is lost.

Series 2-3, 5-6[]

There are three rings, one closer to the tree and two further away. It is not mandatory to grab any rings, but they must make the jump or they will lose a life.

In the final week, there are five rings, two close to the tree and three further away. This challenge was not played in the final week in Series 3, 6, 8, 9, or 10.

Series 4[]

There are five rings, two closer to the pole and three further away. Again, it is not mandatory to grab the rings.

There is no difference in the final week except the three rings are arranged in a triangle instead of a line.

Series 7[]

This challenge was barely seen in Series 7, in favour of Loch Leap. It did appear once in the final week, on Day 4. There are three rings close to the tree. It is mandatory to grab the rings.

Series 8-10[]

There are three rings, one closer to the tree and two further away to the left (from the warrior’s perspective). Once again, it is not mandatory to grab the rings.

Series 11-12[]

In the Wolf Heat are three rings hanging from a single rope. After this there are three ropes from which one, then two, then three rings hang such that the rope with three rings attached is further out and the rope with one ring on is closer to the platform.
