Description[]

Haryad is a tree sprite and takes the form of a tiny man within a glowing ball of blue light. He is able to fly and often says he is able to travel faster than the wind. this is useful as he is able to spy on the warriors and Nevar without fear of being spotted.

Haryad is said to have lived within the Enchanted Oak before it was uprooted from the Forest of Dawn Time by Nevar. Haryad often visits the place where the oak once grew. He helps Erina with the quest as he wishes to get his home back.

Haryad can be quite nervous and is often distressed about the potential failure of the quest. Princess Erina often has to calm him down and reassure him when he despairs about the warriors' progress or the thought that he may never get his home back.

At one point, when he learned of the Eagles team gaining only two timepieces at Archery, he disappeared in considerable distress to visit the place where the oak used to grow and lament what he believed to be the imminent failure of the quest, as well as his own lack of courage. Erina managed to convince him that admitting his innermost fears showed he had great courage and reassured him about the warriors' abilities.

Haryad was also nervous when he was sent to spy on Nevar, being afraid that he would be seen by Nevar himself or caught by his Demons.

Haryad was also sent at one point to spy on Nevar and his Demons at the Fortress and saw him arming some of the demons with Staffs of Power hewn from the great Enchanted Oak.

Haryad also appeared at the end of the quest at the Waterfall of the Little Fawn, to thank the warriors for completing the quest and saving his home.

Trivia[]

Many fans initially believed Haryad's name to be Harriet, due to Princess Erina's pronunciation of his name sounding virtually identical to Harriet, as well as Haryad's high pitched, feminine speaking voice.
